CUSTOMER SERVICE AGREEMENT & VEHICLE DETAILING AUTHORIZATION

Effective Date: [9/27/2026]

By booking, purchasing, authorizing, or accepting any service provided by AfterShine (“AfterShine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Customer Service Agreement (“Agreement”).

This Agreement applies to all detailing, cleaning, maintenance, enhancement, and related automotive services provided by AfterShine.

1. CUSTOMER AUTHORIZATION

By booking or authorizing service, you confirm that:

  • You are the owner of the vehicle or have permission from the vehicle owner to authorize the services.

  • You have authority to enter into this Agreement.

  • The information you provide to AfterShine is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

  • You authorize AfterShine and its personnel to access and work on the vehicle for the services purchased.

  • You agree to the terms of this Agreement.

If you are booking on behalf of a vehicle owner, you are responsible for ensuring that the owner is aware of and accepts these terms.

2. SERVICES

AfterShine will provide the services selected and purchased by the Customer.

The exact work performed depends on the package, add-ons, vehicle condition, and circumstances present when the service is performed.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, detailing services are intended to clean, maintain, protect, and improve the appearance of a vehicle.

Detailing is not mechanical repair, body repair, paint repair, upholstery repair, or guaranteed restoration.

AfterShine may determine that a requested procedure is inappropriate or unsafe for a particular vehicle, material, surface, coating, or condition.

AfterShine is not responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration that becomes visible during or after the detailing process.

If AfterShine identifies a condition that presents an unreasonable risk of damage, AfterShine may decline to perform the affected portion of the service.

4. FRAGILE, AGED, OR DETERIORATED MATERIALS

The Customer understands that older, damaged, improperly maintained, or deteriorated materials may react differently to professional cleaning.

AfterShine will use reasonable care and appropriate detailing procedures based on the apparent condition of the vehicle.

However, cleaning may expose or contribute to failure of materials that are already weakened, deteriorated, improperly repaired, or near the end of their useful life.

Severe contamination may require additional services or charges.

6. PAINT CORRECTION & SURFACE IMPERFECTIONS

Where paint correction, polishing, compounding, waxing, sealants, or similar services are performed, the Customer understands that results depend on the condition, thickness, history, and composition of the vehicle's paint.

AfterShine does not guarantee complete removal of scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, etching, water spots, or other imperfections unless a specific result has been expressly agreed to in writing.

Certain defects may require bodywork, repainting, wet sanding, or professional paint repair outside the scope of detailing.

AfterShine will not intentionally compromise the vehicle's finish solely to achieve a cosmetic result.

7. PROTECTIVE PRODUCTS

Any wax, sealant, ceramic product, coating, dressing, or other protective product will be applied according to reasonable professional practices and, when applicable, manufacturer instructions.

The Customer understands that longevity and performance depend on:

  • Vehicle use

  • Weather

  • Washing practices

  • Chemical exposure

  • Storage

  • Environmental contamination

  • Maintenance

  • Surface condition

  • Product condition

AfterShine does not guarantee a specific lifespan or level of protection unless expressly stated in writing for the specific product or service.

8. CUSTOMER BELONGINGS

Customers should remove valuables, cash, electronics, documents, identification, medication, firearms, and other important personal property from the vehicle before service.

AfterShine is not responsible for personal property left inside the vehicle except to the extent responsibility is imposed by applicable law.

AfterShine may refuse to handle personal belongings and may require the Customer to remove them before work begins.

AfterShine is not responsible for items that were already missing, damaged, concealed, or inaccessible before service.

AfterShine is not responsible for consequences resulting from the Customer's failure to obtain required permission.

10. MOBILE SERVICE CONDITIONS

Certain services may require access to water, electricity, shade, or other site conditions.

If a required resource is unavailable, AfterShine may modify the service procedure, use an alternative method when reasonably possible, or decline the affected portion of the service.

The Customer is responsible for informing AfterShine of location-specific restrictions before service.

Mobile detailing may be affected by:

  • Rain

  • Extreme heat

  • Extreme cold

14. VEHICLE OPERATION & KEYS

The Customer authorizes AfterShine to move or operate the vehicle when reasonably necessary to perform the purchased service.

This may include moving or repositioning the vehicle within the service location.

AfterShine will not use the vehicle for unnecessary transportation or personal purposes.

The Customer must inform AfterShine of known mechanical, electrical, security, or operational issues before service.

15. MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL CONDITIONS

AfterShine provides detailing services and is not a mechanical repair facility.

Detailing personnel may not be qualified to identify every mechanical or electrical defect.

AfterShine is not responsible for mechanical or electrical failures unrelated to AfterShine's negligent conduct.

Existing issues involving batteries, charging systems, electrical components, sensors, wiring, locks, windows, motors, screens, infotainment systems, warning lights, or other vehicle systems remain the responsibility of the vehicle owner unless caused by AfterShine's negligence.

16. WATER & ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

Modern vehicles contain electronic components throughout the cabin and exterior.

AfterShine will use reasonable care and appropriate detailing methods.

However, pre-existing electrical defects, improperly sealed components, aftermarket wiring, damaged seals, or existing water intrusion can create risks that may not be visible before service.

AfterShine is not responsible for pre-existing electrical or water-related defects.

  • Product curing time

  • Weather

  • Access conditions

  • Unexpected conditions discovered during service

AfterShine may require additional time when reasonably necessary to complete the purchased service properly.

AfterShine may experience delays caused by:

  • Traffic

  • Weather

  • Unexpected vehicle conditions

  • Extended work on a previous vehicle

  • Location access issues

  • Other circumstances outside AfterShine's reasonable control

AfterShine will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays.

The Customer agrees to provide reasonable access to the vehicle at the scheduled appointment time.

20. INSPECTION & SERVICE ACCEPTANCE

The Customer is encouraged to inspect the vehicle when service is completed.

If the Customer believes a portion of the purchased service was not performed as agreed, the Customer should notify AfterShine promptly so that the concern can be evaluated.

Nothing in this Agreement waives any rights that cannot legally be waived.

21. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AfterShine shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from services performed under this Agreement.

AfterShine's responsibility for property damage directly caused by AfterShine's proven negligence shall be limited to the actual direct damage established under applicable law.

Nothing in this Agreement is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

22. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Customer is responsible for claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • False or materially incomplete information provided to AfterShine;

  • Failure to disclose known vehicle defects or hazardous conditions;

  • Unauthorized use of the vehicle or property by the Customer or third parties;

  • Unsafe conditions at the service location that were not disclosed;

  • Failure to obtain required permission to perform the service at the selected location; or

  • Violation of this Agreement.

Nothing in this section requires the Customer to assume responsibility for AfterShine's own negligence or conduct where such responsibility is prohibited by law.

23. PHOTOGRAPHS & MARKETING

The Customer authorizes AfterShine to photograph the vehicle before, during, and after service for documentation and quality-control purposes.

AfterShine may use photographs of the vehicle for business purposes, including:

  • Website

  • Advertising

  • Portfolio

  • Promotional materials

AfterShine will make reasonable efforts not to intentionally display personal identifying information.

If a photograph contains identifiable personal information, AfterShine may request permission before using the photograph publicly.

The Customer may request that AfterShine not use photographs of their vehicle for public marketing by contacting AfterShine before or during service.

24. CUSTOMER INFORMATION

AfterShine may collect and retain information reasonably necessary to:

Payment may be required before, during, or after service depending on the payment terms presented at booking.

The Customer is responsible for providing accurate billing information and ensuring that the selected payment method can cover the amount due.

26. THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS

AfterShine may use products manufactured by third-party companies.

AfterShine will use such products according to reasonable professional practices and, when applicable, manufacturer instructions.

AfterShine does not provide independent warranties for third-party products beyond warranties expressly provided by the applicable manufacturer.

27. NO GUARANTEE OF FACTORY-NEW CONDITION

The Customer understands that professional detailing improves the cleanliness and appearance of a vehicle but does not necessarily return a vehicle to factory-new condition.

The final result depends heavily on:

  • Vehicle age

  • Materials

  • Maintenance history

  • Previous repairs

  • Environmental exposure

  • Contamination

  • Existing damage

  • Previous detailing or cleaning

Unless a specific result is expressly guaranteed in writing, the standard for service is reasonable professional improvement rather than guaranteed perfection.

28. SERVICE CONCERNS & DISPUTES

The Customer agrees to first contact AfterShine regarding any service-related concern and provide AfterShine a reasonable opportunity to investigate the matter and attempt to resolve it before pursuing formal legal action, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this provision prevents a Customer from exercising rights that cannot legally be waived.

29. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, to the extent applicable.

Any legal proceeding shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction as permitted by applicable law.

30. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
